Care Package Coordinator
Care Package Coordinators are the organizers behind the scenes who make sure every monthly delivery goes out complete, accurate, and on time.
They handle logistics, organize volunteers, and work with partners to gather supplies that bring comfort and relief to families in need.
Core Responsibilities
This role ensures the smooth preparation, assembly, and delivery of all Core C.A.R.E. monthly care packages.
- Track inventory and ensure all needed items are available before packaging day.
- Coordinate with Fulfillment Specialists and partners for donations or purchases.
- Organize volunteers to assemble packages efficiently.
- Verify correct quantities and contents for each family.
- Work with Delivery Drivers to schedule pickups and drop-offs.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Required Skills
- Strong organization and communication.
- Leadership and problem-solving under pressure.
- Ability to manage small teams.
- Basic computer and record-keeping skills.
Tools & Systems Used
- HubSpot Tickets & Inventory Tracking
- Volunteer Slack Channels
- Google Sheets for packaging lists
Reporting Structure
- Reports to: Care Captain / Executive Director
- Collaborates with: Fulfillment Specialists, Delivery Drivers, Event Volunteers
Time Commitment
- Average: 6–8 hours monthly (in-person during packaging days)
Key Outcomes
- Monthly care packages are complete, accurate, and delivered on time.
- Volunteers are well-coordinated and confident in their tasks.
- Supplies and donations are efficiently used and recorded.
Advancement Path
Care Package Coordinators who demonstrate strong leadership may advance to Event Director or Program Logistics Lead, managing larger-scale events or multiple Core programs.
